Red Balloon Learner Centre, Cambridge is recruiting for a Therapist to support our young people.
We work with young people aged 11 to 18 who have been severely bullied and/or experience high levels of anxiety about attending school. We provide a safe environment with clear boundaries for behaviour, and an individual full-time academic, pastoral and therapeutic programme. Once students have regained their confidence and are able to cope academically and socially, we support their return to mainstream school or college or into employment. It is important that the jobholder concurs with this aim.
We are currently recruiting for a Therapist;
The purpose of this role is to work with a range of students from 11 to 18 years old, helping them come to terms with and manage a range of emotional, social or mental health issues. This role will make you a key part of the team to support the young people to feel safe in the environment, build stronger connections with friends & family, manage life stressors and adjust to major changes.
The position is part time - three to four days a week (to be negotiated). (24 to 32 hours a week based on a full time week of 40 hours).
The salary for the role is from £26,000 pro rata depending on experience.
