An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Therapist to join the new Community Complex Conditions Service Multi-disciplinary team in Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB). We are looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a skilled inter-disciplinary team. The team includes Clinical Psychology, Assistant Psychologists, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Pharmacy, GP and support staff. The service supports people presenting with Long Covid, other post viral and fatiguing conditions, persistent physical symptoms, breathing pattern disorder and those who present frequently to services.The new Community Complex Conditions Service provides an opportunity to continue development of this service and shape the way we work with vulnerable groups who might otherwise fall through the gaps in services.We are an award winning, friendly and supportive team; who are research active, with a passion for co-production with our partners with Lived Experience.
We are passionate about the co-development of our service and enriching it with research. Therefore, the post holder will have opportunities to help us to continue developing these two important areas.
The successful applicant will provide highly specialised professional advice, consultancy, clinical expertise and leadership to patients, carers and Health Board staff. They will act as a responsible clinician and will have overall clinical responsibility for the patients’ care, demonstrating expert advanced skills and competencies to directly influence the delivery of programmes of care across the full range of care providers of the health and social care economy.
The successful applicant will be clinically responsible for the day-to-day management of the care of all patients within the integrated Community Complex Conditions service and will have overall clinical responsibility for the patient caseload, working as an independent clinician but in collaboration with medical, nursing and other clinical colleagues within and outside of the MDT. The post holder will be an expert practitioner in the management of complex conditions, with significantly advanced clinical skills in the rehabilitation and management of patients with complex long-term conditions, including cardiac and respiratory conditions and demonstrating an advanced level of professional autonomy and accountability in the provision of such care.
