Position Summary
We have two exciting opportunities for The Macallan Hosts to join our team at The Macallan Estate, Aberlour. You will ensure that all guests are given a world class luxury experience of The Macallan with exceptional customer service that exceeds all expectations of our guests, to inspire lifelong enthusiastic brand advocacy of The Macallan. You will host and support highly engaging, entertaining and educational experiences that communicate The Macallan brand to all guests. You will offer a world class service, creating the ultimate customer experience; an experience to be enjoyed by anyone who visits The Macallan Estate.
Job Description
Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager, key responsibilities include:
- To welcome all guests with a passionate and exceptional customer service and inspire all guests to become enthusiastic ambassadors of The Macallan
- Passionately communicate The Macallan brand DNA and values to guests across the Macallan Estate and be the ultimate ambassador for The Macallan, whisky, Speyside and Scotland
- Ensure that The Macallan Estate is presented as a world class 5-star luxury destination, maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness and organisation in both onstage and backstage areas with meticulous attention to detail
- Help guests with any accessibility needs across The Macallan Estate, which could include driving our mobility transport
- Develop a thorough knowledge of The Macallan brand and world class customer service within a luxury destination through training and ongoing personal learning
- Host and support highly engaging, entertaining and educational experiences at The Macallan Distillery and across The Macallan Estate; including but not limited to Distillery, Estate, Boutique and Tasting Experiences
- Frequent use of booking and till systems on computers and other devices across The Macallan Estate
- Maximise every opportunity to exceed guest expectations
- To retain up to date stock knowledge with regards to pricing, product origination, product function and story
- Stock control & rotation will follow best practice and company guidelines
Required Skills and Experience
- A strong, charismatic, positive and upbeat people person
- Outstanding customer service knowledge and delivery
- Extremely strong performance and storytelling skills
- Ability to learn and retain information about The Macallan brand and the brand heritage
- Additional fluent language skills (oral) would be a distinct advantage
- Will have strong sales / retail experience
- Confident, smart and takes immense pride in their appearance
- Attention to detail
- Flexible, ‘can do’ approach and a willingness to execute tasks perfectly
