Applications are invited for this innovative Medical Education Fellow (MEF) position which offer a combination of core project work and an opportunity to develop skills in teaching, research, and educational quality improvement within Lothian. Working with the MED team [https://www.med.scot.nhs.uk/about-us] and with multi-professional colleagues this post affords the opportunity to impact on the delivery and development of safe, effective, and person-centred clinical care through innovation and training excellence.
Specifically, this Enviornmental Sustainability fellowship will offer an opportunity to engage with and support our green healthcare agenda in Lothian and to develop personal understanding and ability aligned to sustainability and systems improvement.
The post can be tailored for senior trainees (St4+) developing a career interest in clinical education and leadership and would also be ideal for an applicant with four years (ST/CT2+) postgraduate medical training wishing to develop skills and gain experience in medical education aligned to Sustainable healthcare practice.
These are whole time positions based on a 40 hour week appointment (PT considered) with salary in line with current seniority at time of appointment linked to the pay and conditions of service of hospital medical and dental staff NHS Circular on a pro rata basis.
