Introduction
Our client is a multinational information technology services and consulting company! They are looking for multiple Testers to join their software engineering team.
You will undertake software related test activities included within a Sprint Backlog. The ideal candidate will have. 3+ years’ worth of software testing experience and the ability to follow test scripts exactly as written.
Due to the nature of this role, you must hold an SC clearance and a full British passport.
This a fully onsite role that will require you to work in Hampshire 5 days a week.
Key responsibilities
- Work as part of the wider Agile Scrum team
- Assist team members to ensure the Sprint objectives are all met
- Lead sub-teams within the test team on larger projects
- Co-ordinate test activities undertaken by sub-teams
- Produce test designs based, test procedures, and scripts
- Set up a test environment in accordance with test preparation instructions
- Run tests in accordance with previously issued scripts and record test results
- Producing test reports to summarise activities undertaken
- Support investigations into software observations and defects by attempting to repeat issues on test rigs
- Escalate issues that may prevent tasks from being completed within the allocated budget
Skills & experience
- 3+ years’ experience in software testing
- The ability to follow test scripts exactly as written
- Ability to produce high quality software and software related
- Experience working with configuration management, defect tracking, query tools, software productivity tools, and templates used to create test scripts and trace matrices
- Experience working with software product testing
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of working in an Agile development environment using both Scrum and Kanban
- Experience of tools such as HP ALM, and Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest
- Experience of defence and/or air industry process and standards
