About the team

This role offers the exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing Test Engineering function at PwC. We are responsible for the automated testing of new & existing products across the firm & for our clients. Your role will include transferring your knowledge of Test Engineering practices and approaches into product teams as well as bringing experience in key Test Automation processes & tooling and partnering with other members of the product team to solve technical challenges along the way.

Job Skills

  • Champion quality engineering practices within the team throughout the design, development, delivery and support of products

  • Collaborate with developers and other members of the team to ensure all aspects of testing (functional and non functional) are carried out as required. For example:

    • API Testing

    • Performance Testing

    • Security Testing

  • Encourage everyone (Developers, Agile Delivery Managers, Product Managers) to think about how quality is defined and measured

  • Bring ideas & innovations to the team through sharing knowledge of testing best practices, examining new tools & techniques within the wider industry

  • Be able to provide stakeholders with high level metrics on product quality and usage

  • Work with DevOps engineers to embed practices in the team which enable consistent, predictable, fully tested deployments

  • Help build and continually improve the ‘way of working’ for the development team to ensure consistent delivery

  • Actively work to identify and help remove or mitigate impediments to agile development and testing

Related Expertise

  • Ability to analyse, debug and optimise code

  • Knowledge of software testing best practices and approaches

  • Experience in one or more coding / scripting language

  • Experience running & automating testing of software products on cloud infrastructure

  • Experience in agile testing approaches, frameworks and implementations
