Location: London based with flexibility to work from home 3 days per week and 2 days in the London office.
Salary & Benefits: £61,176 to £76,470 base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

LBG Labs:
Lloyds Banking Group are transforming the way we do Engineering. We’ve created “Platforms” and we're building multi-functional, co-located teams giving them freedom to bring technology to the forefront of our business. This will help us create new, and improve existing, products and services to help us really make a difference to our customers.
In the Economic Crime Prevention (ECP) Platform, our mission is to reduce harm to our communities by enhancing the Group's capability to prevent, detect and respond to economic crime. The ECP Platform sits within Consumer Relationships and plays a critical role in providing services across the whole Group.
About the role:

We're looking to recruit an experienced Test Engineer to join one of our highly proficient and productive agile teams who deliver high quality solutions for the bank and its customers.
You will be hands on designing and delivering customer centric solutions at pace, using an ‘Automation First’ approach, you will also be open to transitioning into performance testing , development and DevOps tasks within the team, we expect our engineers to become truly T shaped across TestOps within 3 years.
As an experienced engineer you will lead by example to maintain our high standards of values and behaviours and you will be comfortable coaching and mentoring more junior engineers, nurturing growth in our continuous learning culture and collaborating with the wider engineering community..
Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
  • Use, improve and maintain existing automation test frameworks that ensure our products are of the highest quality
  • Where appropriate design and build new frameworks or features within the frameworks and industrialise them for re-useability contributing to the inner-source model
  • Develop and improve the CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with other engineers and DevOps
  • Explore new testing techniques, keeping up to date with industry changes
  • Work in an Agile fashion to deliver highly effective testing of our products to ensure excellent delivery quality to colleagues and customers
  • Take an active role in the wider engineering community to learn and grow individually but also working with others to help the community improve
  • Work collaboratively with the Product Owner as well as Engineers, Business Analysts and Scrum Masters to help building the feature team capability.

What we need from you:
Ability to code commercial solutions independently in with one or more of the following languages:
  • Java
  • Node.js
We would also like to see:
  • Experience integrating automation into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
  • Ability to operate and perform testing in containerised environments
  • Expertise in all testing types and how to apply them in practise, including functional, performance and security testing
  • Experience removing technical debt from Applications or Testing frameworks
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring more junior engineers to create a highly effective testing capability
  • Familiarity with Hadoop Big Data Architecture, kafka and Hive and multi-tier/distributed systems and how to test them
What will be desirable:
  • Experience in performance testing and analysing performance test results
  • Experience testing in containerised environments
  • Experience testing in GCP or OCP
