TEST ENGINEER APPRENTICE

Location:
Our UK headquarters is based in Poole on the Dorset coast with its bustling quay, some of the best beaches in the UK and a stunning natural harbour. There is easy access to the Dorset countryside, the New Forest and the spectacular Jurassic Coast. Our main office is 1 mile from Poole railway station with good public transport links and close to both Bournemouth and Southampton international airports.
Test Engineer Apprentice Summary
As an apprentice you will be working with a team of experienced test engineers on a range of exciting technologies developing your skills, knowledge and experience on the job whilst studying for a Level 4 Software Tester qualification. You will be working on complex transport ticketing systems used by our Rail, Tram and Bus customers.
You will join our apprenticeship scheme which will take 24 months to complete.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three A Levels (Grade C or above) including Maths and Science, or equivalent.
Key Duties:
- Preparing test scripts;
- Deploying software and configuring systems for test execution;
- Executing test cases and capturing test results;
- Providing feedback to the software development teams to assist in root cause investigations;
- Providing feedback to project delivery teams regarding test status;
- Helping to maintain and manage test equipment/test environments;
- Working collaboratively with colleagues in Test, Software Development, System Engineering and Project Management.
