About the role:
We are currently looking to appoint a Test Analyst to join our Testing Team based in our newly furbished office in Leeds city centre. The office has been designed as a collaborative space supporting hybrid working.
This role will report directly into the Test Manager. You will be responsible for delivering efficient Testing Services across multiple IT operational systems.
You will play a pivotal role in the delivery of multiple projects and programmes across the organisation.
Key responsibilities are:
- Validating business requirements to assess their testable elements and impact to current in place systems.
- Identifying appropriate levels of test coverage to prove the quality of in-flight deliverables and provide accurate quantifiable estimates as to duration and effort required,
- Writing and executing test cases to validate newly delivered functionality
- Writing and executing manual regression packs to ensure the continued stability and quality of core functionality stacks
- Storing test evidences to validate test execution runs.
- Undertaking test reporting to ensure all key test and external stakeholders are aware as to progress against plan.
- Undertaking configuration and set up of all chosen testing tooling to facilitate project delivery
- Being able to execute Automation and Continuous Integration Test Cycles to supplement manual testing
- Supporting Business-led User Acceptance Testing activities to ensure changes are accepted as suitable for deployment in a live environment.
- Providing expert advice and consultation on all elements of the testing process.
- Ensuring testing processes are continually developed to improve project delivery.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- You will hold a strong knowledge of testing principles, practices, techniques, and tools
- Is proficient in determining required levels of test coverage and has worked in a risk- based environment
- Proven experience in creating, maintaining, and running test scripts:
- Manual and Automation
- Proven experience of project and lifecycle testing:
- Unit Test, System Test, Integration Testing & User Acceptance Testing
- Agile practices and project management methodology (e.g.: SCRUM, KANBAN)
- Experienced in working international and in a risk environment, with external suppliers
