Job description

  • Create and execute system, integration, regression, UAT, functional and non-functional test scripts for UI and/or API testing; based on the project requirements.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of software testing lifecycle within agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Key Accountabilities:
  • Analyse defined features and requirement and write high quality test scripts either manually or automated
  • Execute test scripts * Maintain clear bug reports and provide developers with sufficient evidence to investigate any defects reported
  • Maintain test scripts and bug reports in predefined Test artifacts management tool * Create and maintain reports for all test related activities
  • Write and execute REST API test scripts (Preferred)
  • Qualifications:
  • Educated to degree level or recognised equivalent.
  • Good to have ISTQB (or equivalent) certified
  • Experience:
  • Knowledge of the private medical insurance industry would be helpful as would experience of working in a regulated industry.
  • 3+Years of experience in Functional Testing
  • 1+ year of API testing experience(Preferred)
  • Knowledge and understanding of all the different facets of Quality Assurance (QA) including unit functionality, usability and non – functional testing.
  • Understanding of operational procedures and QA process standards
  • Familiar with automated testing, QA tools like JMeter, Selenium with Java
  • Familiar with traditional delivery mechanisms (i.e., Waterfall) but able to adapt to change and adapt to Agile/Dev Ops frameworks.

  • Ability to work under pressure and often with conflicting priorities
  • Elevated levels of pragmatism and the ability to influence and negotiate for the best outcomes
  • Well-honed interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbally
  • Ability to develop stakeholder relationships both internally (cross departmentally) and externally (strategic development partners)
  • Able to use all required Microsoft tools effectively
  • Ability to quickly learn and implement new tools for testing purposes
