Spectrum Brands has an exciting new opportunity for a Territory Manager to join our Global Pet Care division. Helping to meet the needs of consumers worldwide, we offer a broad portfolio of market-leading and widely trusted brands including IAMS, Tetra, Eukanuba, Good Boy and FURminator.
As our Territory Manager, you will promote and sell our total pet portfolio to independent pet and aquatic retailers across the South West & South Wales region. We’ve grown organically every year, are a trusted partner and sponsor of the annual Crufts Dog Show and our brands ‘Good Boy’ and ‘Tetra’ are market leaders, so this really is an exciting time to join!
The Role
Working towards sales targets and KPI’s, you will focus on growing our customer base throughout your designated region.
You will:
- Develop and work to an effective journey plan to ensure retailers receive a regular visits
- Maintain and increase distribution of Spectrum Pet brands portfolio throughout the retail trade.
- Ensure effective range selling and introduction of new products
- Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with customers in the sales area covered
- Identify new sales opportunities within sales territory and generate incremental sales
- Ensure submission of daily reports, orders and the keeping of record files for retail accounts
- Maintain a good working knowledge of Spectrum Pet brands portfolio of products and the science to support them.
- Attend shows and exhibitions
About you
We are looking for a sales professional who is passionate about pets, any experience of working within the Pet industry would be ideal. The role would benefit from experience gained working in a managerial capacity within a retail sales environment such as Garden Centres, major pet retailers or a similar retail set up.
You will be customer focussed with excellent presentation and negotiating skills.
You'll be a self-motivated sales professional and have a drive to hunt for new business, you’ll be able to ask the right questions, present our brand portfolio to retailers and secure long-term business.
You will have good IT skills along with knowledge and experience of CRM sales reporting systems.
