My client is a multi-national distribution company with offices globally in many different industries, but this part of the business specialises in the care sector.
Due to continued growth and success they're now looking to add to their sales department in the form of a Territory Account Manager. They are looking for someone who can truly connect with customers and offer the best-in-class service across the M42 corridor. You must have the desire to always go the extra mile and consistently delight customers.
The role of Territory Account Manager will be to grow profitable sales through new and existing business within the Care Sector, predominantly independents and small & mid-size groups. Sales growth will come through the management of existing accounts looking at gap analysis and new business through an active prospect list of building secure partnerships at home manager level / Owner level / Clinical Teams & Procurement Team.
Responsibilities
Finance
- Provide regular reports as required by the management team
- Management of low margin price lists
- Islands of Profit
- Management of under 15% SKU’s
Sales
- Grow the value of existing customers by constantly seeking opportunities to extend volume, range and own brand offering
- Provide quotes for customers to achieve agreed financial targets (Sales and Margin)
- Prospect new customers and regain lost business within your territory
- To understand the Value-Added Proposition and sell its merits
- To understand the cost to serve model
Customer Service
- Maintain existing business through effective customer contact including regular visits where it makes commercial sense.
- Advise customers of price increases and manage expectations to ensure business is retained.
- Work with field sales staff, telesales and all other teams where necessary deliver highest levels of customer contact and service at all times.
Health & Safety
- Maintain any company provided vehicle in a roadworthy condition, ensuring at all times it reflects positively on the company image;
- Drive within legal limits at all times
- Follow identified safe working practices

- Proven and demonstrable sales success in the care sector.

Salary & Benefits
- The salary for this role is £33,000 - £37,000 DOE plus bonus scheme up to £15,000
