We are looking for someone to join the Temporary Accommodation team as a Tenancy Support Worker. Temporary accommodation is an ever-growing team and temporarily rehouses some of the most vulnerable single adults and families within the city. We currently have four Temporary Accommodation sites and several dispersed properties throughout the whole of Sheffield.
The focus of the role is to prevent homelessness, we want to provide safe accommodation helping and supporting people to manage their temporary tenancies, which may lead to a permanent successful tenancy in the future. The ideal candidate will enjoy both working on their own and as part of a team, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will have experience or awareness of housing support needs for vulnerable people, and issues that lead to homelessness, you must understand the importance and benefits of working in partnership with internal and external providers
We are a small, dedicated team who cover (on a rota basis) three of our Temporary Accommodation sites, we work remotely and out in the community. The successful candidate would need to be comfortable travelling around the city and working with vulnerable people on their own, and with the support of a team.
