About the role
Here at Zimmer Biomet Bridgend we have a vacancy available for a Temp HR Generalist. This role is for a 12 month period and the successful candidate will be required to be based onsite Monday to Friday during normal working hours.
The role provides HR support to one or more functional units in close cooperation with the Senior HR Manager. Serves as employee advocate to assure fair and consistent administration of local employment policies and practices.
Delivers HR services upon newest techniques and standards and support to internal and external clients. Ensures strong interaction with business partners as Compensation & Benefits and HRIS (LTI/merit/bonus/promotions/adjustments), Learning & Development (Training and Workshops) and Corporate HR.
Supports recruiting effort to assure Zimmer Biomet accesses, attracts, and successfully places highly competent and successful candidates. Leads assigned projects with management support.

Expected Areas of Competence
- Manages core HR activities for assigned organizational unit, including staffing up to Z10, performance management, compensation administration, career development, leadership development and succession planning.
- Supports in employee relations and supports the Manager in effective conflict resolution with respect to employee relations and performance management issues.
- Supports the entire staffing & hiring process up to Z10 for assigned client groups.
- Identify short and long term HR issues related to the organization’s objectives, and develop and implement initiatives to address those issues.
- Entering/maintaining all necessary data to Zimmer Biomet’s HR systems and thus responsible for his/her own client group administration.
- Prepare reports, presentations, business communications, data summaries, and other documents of both a recurring and non-recurring nature. Perform moderately complex analyses of data to draw inferences or conclusions.
- Develop and institute HR best practices of the department’s policy, procedures, and processes. Assist and ensuring HR budgeting (entering ZIP data according to line manager’s input)
- Assist Senior Management identifying talents, ensuring succession planning and foreseeing organizational development (OD) needs.
- In a regular turn host the Introduction day for new team-members.
Education/Experience Requirements
- CIPD qualified with 3-5 years professional experience in the Human Resources department in a similar role, ideally in an international company .
- Solid and broad HR knowledge (Hiring for different business function, levels and profiles, HR best practices/tools/processes, HR Dev., Swiss labour laws, C&B etc.)
- Good presentation skills or the aim to develop in that area
- Sound user knowledge of SAP HR/HCM
- Proficient in the use of MS Office application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Personal skills requirements
- Able to work in a cross-cultural environment
- Very good communicator with strong social competencies
- Team player with a positive customer-oriented attitude
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, in a complex matrix structure
- Ability to identify creative solutions to problems
- Demonstrated history of taking initiative, meeting commitments and assisting in the creation of new tools or solutions to achieve good business results.
- High level of energy, personal accountability and integrity
