Job description
Do you love the thrill of the chase?
In recruitment terms, this means repeatedly picking up the phone and / or networking on social media to identify and contact people who make decisions on which agency / recruitment methods their company use.
It's your job to engage with them, ask questions, listen and put a credible case forward as to why they should use you and your agency. You will be rejected, ignored and fobbed off in 80%-90% of your efforts everyday. You will need to go back to people who do this to you, time and time again. If this puts you off, don't apply. Selling temporary recruitment solutions to Industrial companies across Birmingham is an extremely competitive business.
The market in the area is huge, and growing. If you are successful in this role, you will be competing with recruiters and agencies who are all trying to increase their market share. This means the number companies you trade with, and the number of temp staff you have working. Your reward for influencing companies to use you and your agency, is the opportunity to supply agency staff at the charge rates you have agreed. This usually happens after you have arranged a face to face meeting that you have arranged. These can range from a 10 minute job in the canteen of 10 people companies to power point presentations in front of Board Directors at massive global companies. It depends on what sales visits you can book.
As the Account Manager for your clients, you will also be responsible for delivering the service you've promised. This is where the recruitment part comes in. You will be attracting, matching and registering candidates before placing them into work and acting as their Account Manager as well. Customer service is a very important element to your role. Without upholding high standards, you won't retain candidates or clients for very long.
