Telecom Provisioning Engineer
The role
TalkTalk Business has a provisioning engineering team in the in the north east which consists of highly skilled voice coordinators and technical engineers.
Our main tasks comprise of; Support for internal & external teams, Design and coordination of UCaaS solutions, SIP delivery, Complex orders, technical support & Liaison with 3rd parties providing relevant products or services, delivering BAU or complex bespoke projects.
The provisioning team consist of highly skilled voice coordinators and technical engineers who’s main tasks comprise of providing support for internal & external teams with voice related questions, as well as the design and coordination of voice solutions, technical support, installing solutions & Liaison with 3rd parties providing relevant products or services, delivering BAU or complex voice projects
As a Voice Provisioning Engineer you’ll technically verify and provision our portfolio of business voice products, ensuring the best possible customer service and satisfaction at all times
You’ll assist the sales team by being the technical expert on Hosted Voice, SIP and Business system opportunities, including joining customer presentations, technically validating and signing-off solutions plus creating and approving documents such as FDS, PID, SOW’s.
You’ll act as lead engineer and take ownership of the technical aspects of a project throughout its life cycle (usually in conjunction with a Project Manager/Coordinator).
You’ll also play a part in shaping new solutions by advising Product Management on technical applications/possibilities and participating in shaping new PBX and VoIP products.
Key responsibilities
- Designing and Managing complex MAC projects
- Implementation and configuration of the Mitel hosted cloud and ‘on Premise’ platforms
- Supporting internal teams with day-to-day technical questions
- New project provisioning including remote system/site builds, user configuration, remote support, technical guidance to end users or engineers, project calls, escalations
- On site installations. When required you will be expected to carry out installation of voice equipment on customers sites. This may include implementing of equipment in data centres or customer premises.
- Assist with end user technical queries, carry out site and desktop technical surveys, architecture, and costing.
- Service Assurance (Technical Support Incident resolution) when required

- PBX systems: Mitel, Avaya, Cisco, Toshiba, Panasonic, BT
- VoIP Solutions: 8x8, RingCentral, Zoom, Teams, Cisco
- Networking qualifications, CCNA, Microsoft, CompTIA Network
- Cloud architectures, AWS, MS Azure, VMware, Hyper V
- Vendor product knowledge: Meraki, Aruba, Cisco, Cloud, Netgear, D-Link
- Strong communication
- Confident speaker
