Tampnet are now looking for a Telecoms Field Engineer (Offshore) to join our team
The Telecoms Field Engineer (Offshore) is a member of the Service Delivery Team. You will actively contribute to achieving the Tampnet business objectives in the short and long term. These activities will mainly take place at offshore locations in the North Sea.
The Telecoms Field Engineer (Offshore) is responsible for the installation, commissioning and maintenance of the Tampnet infrastructure at on and offshore locations and will make a strong contribution to quality and work closely with Project Managers, NOC (Network Operation Center) and the Operational team.

Main responsibilities and tasks
- Survey, Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of microwave connections, network and LTE/4G equipment on oil and gas platforms in the North Sea
- Mechanical Assembly of large antennas
- Electrical connectivity of devices
- Preparation, testing and staging of equipment
- Incident investigation / handling at on and offshore locations
- Close co-operation with Project Managers and Engineers
- Creation and revision of Tampnet Site Documentation
- Contribute to a positive working environment in the team / department
Qualification requirements
- Previous Telecommunications experience is desired
- Previous Offshore experience is an advantage
- Health declaration is part of the application procedure
- Flexible, inquisitive and relevant education
- Good knowledge of the English language
