Job Title: Telecommunications Field Engineer
Location: South of the UK
Salary: £30,000 per annum

Role Overview:
As a Telecommunications Field Engineer, you will play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems and equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' telecommunications networks, providing technical support, and resolving any issues that may arise. This is a field-based role, requiring travel to various client sites within the South of the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications systems, including network equipment, routers, switches, and telephone systems
- Conduct site surveys and assess client requirements to determine optimal solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to telecommunications equipment, both remotely and on-site
- Perform regular maintenance checks, upgrades, and repairs to ensure system efficiency and reliability
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate project activities and ensure timely completion
- Provide training and technical support to clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns
- Keep accurate records of work activities, including equipment inventory, maintenance logs, and service reports
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in telecommunications engineering
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in telecommunications engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, network infrastructure, and protocols
- Proficient in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of telecommunications equipment
- Familiarity with various telecommunications technologies, such as VoIP, PBX systems, and data networks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues at all levels
- A valid driving license and willingness to travel to client sites within the South of the UK
