All Round Fibre Splicing & Testing Engineer

Cable & Splicing Services (CASS) is a telecommunications contracting specialist business established for over 25 years in UK.

We are currently recruiting for experienced and accredited telecommunications engineers with some fibre splicing skills for work in the Telford/Shrewsbury/Wem area.

This is for test and fix work and would suit ex Lead 2 Cash engineers or anyone with splicing accreditations looking to gain more experience.

In your role you will be responsible for:

  • Working on the Openreach legacy, One Fibre Network and PIA Networks testing Fibre connectivity to Customer premises
  • Working at heights and in the underground network
  • Splicing fibre and testing with an OTDR
  • Working as an individual and as a part of team to achieve targets and KPI’s.
  • Adherence with Health and Safety legislation

You will have the following qualifications and be able to prove experience and competence.

  • Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on your licence
  • Hold a valid NRSWA street works Operative card
  • Hold the following accreditation modules – SA001, SA002, Confined Spaces, N23 (or N22 and N37) fibre splicing accreditation
  • Have experience of working on the Openreach network as cabler, splicing and testing.
  • Confident working at heights and in the underground network
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety practices.

Salary: £150.00-£200.00 per day

  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
  • Telecommunications Fibre Splicing and Cabling Accreditation (preferred)
