All Round Fibre Splicing & Testing Engineer
Cable & Splicing Services (CASS) is a telecommunications contracting specialist business established for over 25 years in UK.
We are currently recruiting for experienced and accredited All Round Fibre Splicers and Cablers for work in the West Midlands area.
In your role you will be responsible for:
- Working on the Openreach legacy, One Fibre Network and PIA Networks providing Fibre connectivity to Customer premises
- Working at heights and in the underground network
- Splicing fibre and testing at multiple points throughout the installation
- Pulling in fibre cable where required
- Working as an individual and as a part of team to achieve targets and KPI’s.
- Adherence with Health and Safety legislation
You will have the following qualifications and be able to prove experience and competence.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on your licence
- Hold a valid NRSWA street works Operative unit 2 card
- Hold or have held the following Openreach overhead, underground and fibre accreditation modules – MT003, SA001, SA002, Confined Spaces, N23, N27, N28, N020, K8, IPAF. S7 and S8 (PIA) would also be an advantage. CASS Academy can assist with renewals or any missing accreditations.
- Have extensive experience of working on the Openreach network as an all-rounder, cabling, splicing and testing.
- Confident working at heights and in the underground network
- Excellent communication skills
- Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety practices.
