Job description
- Make decisions on engineering problems and methods and represent the department in conferences to resolve important questions and coordinate work
- Actively participate in, and maximize the use of, knowledge management portals and communities and other available resources
- Attend external technical seminars and self-enroll in training courses for in-house management
- Perform self-check of completed work and provide guidance to less experienced engineers
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining liaisons with individuals and units within or outside the organization with the responsibility for acting with authority on technical matters pertaining to the particular field
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
- Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines

Basic Job Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering or technology field of study and work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced (i.e., Master’s) degree or global equivalent and appropriate post graduate qualifications preferred
- Professional Registration and membership in external technical society preferred
- Previous Telecom industry related home office and/or project experience
- Demonstrated interpolative thinking, utilize advanced techniques, modifications or extensions to practiced theories, and is generally seasoned technically
- Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets and electronic presentations
