As a Technology Solutions Architect within our Savings and Payments domain, you’ll have a brilliant opportunity to help shape the future. Engaging with colleagues of all levels across the organisation, you will help to optimise our technology investments and create solutions to deliver our Corporate Strategy.
Our Digital transformation journey is well underway, covering everything from our online channels and mobile app to our contact centres and retail network - giving our Members the best possible experience, however they choose to interact with us. We are looking for people with the drive and passion to help us on this exciting journey. You’ll join a likeminded team in our Leeds based IT & Transformation function. This is a hybrid role with remote working and some onsite presence in our central Leeds offices.
About the role
As Technology Solutions Architect, you’ll operate across all aspects of the Savings and Payments domain transformation projects. You’ll create, assess and validate solution architectures and designs aligned to our Enterprise Architecture and strategic priorities and support these initiatives throughout our architecture governance processes. You will -
Translate Enterprise and Solution Architecture into meaningful solution options, leading design activities across all impacted components (people, process, data, technology)
Provide consultancy services to manage all architecture, design and development dependencies along with their constraints, risks and issues throughout the change lifecycle
Oversee compliance assessment activity to ensure robust delivery against agreed solution architectures and designs
Work in conjunction with other Architecture domains to ensure technology roadmaps reflect the needs of the organisation
Drive rationalisation of our technology and application landscape and assist remediation of legacy risk
About you
You’ll have demonstrable experience of working on complex change programmes to ensure solution architectures and designs align with agreed priorities. You’ll also possess excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence, manage and resolve competing and conflicting priorities. You will have –
Demonstrable ability to create appropriate documentation that clearly articulates and presents solution architectures and designs
Demonstrable experience of working across both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies
Knowledge of complex, multi-tier architectures and industry standard design patterns - including Microservice Architecture and APIs
A working knowledge of frameworks supporting Microservice and API development
Experience of solution integration across complex, on-premises and cloud-based environments
An understanding of (or certification in) an architectural framework such as TOGAF
Ideally, but not essential - an understanding of Payments solutions and processes
