Vacancy details for Technology Risk Apprentice with M&G plc
We are looking for a highly motivated apprentice who is interested in working in Financial Services and wishes to pursue a career in Risk Management. This role will be sitting within the Resilience, Third Party and Technology Governance Risk and Controls function. Key responsibilities of this role will include: • To support and contribute to the 1st line risk, governance and control processes, focusing on identification, management and closure of risks and issues related to Operational Resilience, Third Party and Technology risks. • Take part and contribute to the controls frameworks for the three risks, including policy, standards and controls, driving the Risk and Controls Self-Assessment process across Technology in line with the operational risk framework • Help Technology maintain on-going compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in relation to the three risks • Supporting the management and oversight of risks and promoting a culture of good compliance and risk awareness • Ensure all changes to policies, procedures, projects and regulations are fully embedded within the business and, where appropriate, that the appropriate testing is undertaken • Support management team that is acting as the central point of reference for three risks related queries The successful applicant will be exposed to the different elements related to risk and information system controls, gaining knowledge including but not limited to the risk management life cycle, the operations of cloud, cyber security, resilience and third-party assurance.
Job Description
The Resilience, Third Party and Technology Governance Risk and Controls functions sits in the first line of defence in the Enterprise Risk Management Model and provides oversight of related Policies, Standards, Risks and Controls.
The function helps to drive a better understanding of Resilience, Third Party and Technology related risks and will support, advise and facilitate the Technology leadership team in making decisions regarding the need for remedial actions and/or risk acceptances taking into account:
- The current risk profile and control environment
- The relative scale of exposure and their likelihood of eventuating.
- The cost and effort of remediating those exposures.
The successful applicant will be exposed to the different elements related to risk and information system controls, gaining knowledge including but not limited to the risk management life cycle, the operations of cloud, cyber security, resilience and third-party assurance
