We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Technology News Reporter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for researching and writing compelling news stories about the latest developments in the world of technology. You will work closely with the editorial team to identify emerging trends and topics, and then produce accurate and engaging content that will appeal to our audience.
Our sites – Techopedia.com, Business2community.com & Cryptonews.com – boast some of the best search rankings in the industry (5+ million visits monthly), competing with many mainstream sites, such as forbes.com. We focus on growth, and giving our audience trustworthy, reliable and informative content, with an emphasis on breaking news, engaging with industry thought leaders and leading the news agenda.

Responsibilities:
- Researching and reporting on breaking news in the technology industry
- Conducting interviews with key industry figures and experts
- Writing clear, concise, and informative news articles that meet our editorial standards
- Working closely with the editorial team to ensure that all content is accurate and up-to-date
- Ability to explain technical jargon and scientific concepts in plain English
- Identifying emerging trends and topics in the technology industry
- Pitching new story ideas to the editorial team
- Building and maintaining a network of contacts in the industry
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technology news and trends
- Using social media and other digital platforms to promote our content and engage with our audience
- Source new software and hardware from product providers and OEMs for review
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a technology news reporter or similar role
- Ideally should be NCTJ qualified
- Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to produce accurate and engaging content under tight deadlines
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with an ability to identify emerging trends and topics
- A deep understanding of the technology industry and the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, easy-to-understand language
- A network of contacts in the industry is a plus
