About our Team
As the new Technology Communications Engagement Manager, you will be working as part of the Tooling Services team. Tooling Services is focused on implementing and supporting our enterprise tooling capabilities and aligned roadmaps across all enabling and business platforms. We play a key role as we enhance our technology management capabilities through Data Services Function and maximising our Artificial Intelligence and data analytics. We're a team that challenges existing thinking, collaborates with divisional partners, and works across all parts of the business, proactively devising technical solutions to enterprise challenges and building rich relationships.
We’re a fun, friendly and inclusive team who believe in meeting business problems or challenges with creativity, and we’re not afraid of trying new ways of doing things.
About the role
We are seeking a Technology Communications Engagement Manager who can help tell the story of the new technology solutions we’re developing. Working with the wider Tooling Services team, you'll provide support to our Project Managers, Technical Consultants and Engineers by helping translate their pieces of work into easily understandable stories for their key stakeholders. You’ll also work closely with other Communications and Technology colleagues from across the platform to improve how engaged people in our wider platform team feel.
Our ideal manager will have experience and capability in three areas:
Influence: A willingness to challenge and an ability to influence the right outcomes, balancing business needs and colleague experience
Engagement & Storytelling: Stakeholder management with strong business knowledge and a knack for simplifying the complex and sharing our plans an engaging, accessible way with colleagues, promoting two-way dialogue
Workplace: A clear understanding of our aspirations and the potential possibilities for our physical and digital workplaces, ideally bringing external knowledge and insight to the team, and at the very least bringing a passion and enthusiasm to learn about the topic
About you
We believe that people don't always fit neatly into roles, and we value everyone's individual skills, experience, and knowledge — it's what makes you unique! As such, we encourage applications from different backgrounds, however, candidates that demonstrate the below skills, are more likely to perform well in this role:
A proven track record of generating thoughtful ideas and delivering engaging communications pieces
Excellent reading and writing skills. Able to understand and then reflect our Values and LBG’s tone of voice to ensure colleague-facing communications are consistent and on-brand.
High level of attention to detail, organised and proactive.
Experienced in working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to change priorities without frustration and maintain a calm disposition
A roll-up-your-sleeves, can-do attitude, and willingness to help and support a small friendly team
