Textiles
The post holder will support a range of provision offered by the university, including Textiles Undergraduate course, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange initiatives and AUB Open Campus projects in line with their technical expertise.
The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in screen printed textiles design, inks, dyes, motifs and patterns and be able to demonstrate this and support students to the highest of level. Knowledge of traditional and contemporary textile print and the ability to confidently operate digital print machinery are required.
The post holder will be flexible and inspirational in their approach to delivery in order to support the diverse subject matter, the lecturers and the students' aspirations and expectations.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the learning environment is adequately resourced whilst supporting learners in the use of relevant equipment, materials and software. A good working knowledge of current health and safety is essential, as is the ability to manage students to a high standard in this area.
You will deliver a variety of induction programs, provide group demonstrations of a range of related processes, and provide day-to-day support for students undertaking their project work. You will be required to develop and make teaching resources and learning aids, organise trips/events and assist academics in the preparation of taught sessions.
A Level 3 qualification and/or equivalent experience is required and ideally candidates should possess a degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
