Job Description

Germanna Community College is a public, open access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. Germanna Community College is centrally located in Fredericksburg, VA between Washington D.C. and Richmond and between the Blue Ridge mountains and the Chesapeake Bay. Germanna Community College is seeking a part-time Testing Services High Tech proctor to administer testing services to test candidates using the authorized Pearson VUE Testing Center.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Proctors Pearson VUE, Certiport, GED, CLEP, Career Readiness and Automotive Services Exam (ASE)
  • Administers academic tests and placement tests for High Tech Testing candidates
  • Provides administrative support by creating professional and courteous correspondences between test vendors, examinees, faculty, staff and students
  • Generates daily reports; research student records; enter research data in Excel; complete daily task reports
  • Provides excellent customer service and provides requested information or refers to the appropriate department
  • Ensures all computers have updated software for each test
  • Perform other duties as assigned

KSA's/Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Customer service experience in a high-volume environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working with a diverse student population
  • Excellent computer skills; intermediate experience in Microsoft Office 365
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Ability to learn applications quickly
  • Complete certifications within 30 days of hire date
  • Commitment to working with diverse colleagues, students, and community members
  • Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing equity, inclusion, and diversity

Additional Considerations
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • At least one year of experience administering and proctoring GED and Pearson VUE exams
  • At least one year of experience working in a post-secondary educational environment
  • Pearson VUE Certification
