We are going through a huge period of growth and are recruiting for Technicians for our Production Division at Andor based in our QC Test, Cleanroom and Assembly teams. Following a period of training the Technician will work on our highly innovative cameras. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Quality inspection of components – coppers, invars, anything coming in from suppliers before building starts.
  • Follow basic assembly procedures as stipulated in engineering work instructions.
  • Mount components in assembly jigs with care and attention to detail.
  • Accurately complete assembly and test records.
  • Strict adherence to production processes and quality control requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Accountable for own output, delivery and quality of assigned production targets
The position is permanent based onsite at Springvale Industrial Estate (BT12 7AL) and will work 37.5 hours per week with flexible start and finish times- core hours are 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 12pm on Friday. Pay rate is £12.26 - £12.88 per hour and we offer voluntary overtime at weekends.

The Technician will have:
ONC/OND level or equivalent
OR
GCSE level or equivalent, in Maths and English (Grade C or above) with 2 years relevant experience in a high [1] tech production environment
AND
  • Good manual dexterity required for handling/manipulation of small / delicate components
Knowledge or experience of soldering or carrying out QC tests or working in a Cleanroom environment is desirable but not essential.
