We are currently looking for an Accuracy Checking Technician to join our Pharmacy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all medications are accurately dispensed, labeled and delivered in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately check and dispense medication according to prescriptions and guidelines provided by a registered pharmacist.
- Ensure that all medication is properly labeled and packaged for delivery or pickup by the patient.
- Keep accurate records of all medications dispensed, returned or disposed of in accordance with legal requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Assist with stock management, ordering and checking in deliveries of medication and supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all relevant data protection regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program preferred.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong computer skills and ability to use pharmacy management software and electronic health record systems.
