Job description

About The Service

Cardiff is growing faster than any other major city in the UK outside of London and is projected to grow more than every other local authority in Wales combined. Cardiff Council’s Transport White Paper lays out an ambitious 10-year plan to tackle the climate emergency, reduce congestion and improve air quality in the Welsh capital. The Council is working with our regional partners, Welsh Government and Transport for Wales to make sure that the right transport infrastructure is in place to provide real choices for people travelling into Cardiff from the wider region. Control of temporary uses of the public highway and the management and delivery of the highway licencing and inspection function as the City grows will be critical to the successful delivery of the plans. This is a superb opportunity to be at the heart of one of the most exciting and dynamic economies in the UK at an exciting time in the City’s development and changing how people move around our growing city.
