At Norwich we champion transdisciplinary making and creating using traditional, digital and new emerging technologies. To support this we provide a range of high-quality workshops and technical resources where students can explore material and digital thinking to succeed in their creative ambitions.
We are looking for someone who can provide innovative and inspirational technical skills delivery for 3D CAD and a variety of traditional and emerging model-making processes.
The role is based in our historic and awarding winning Boardman House building that houses resources for CAD, model making, laser cutting, and 3D printing. The role will also oversee activities in our CAD labs, 3D printing, laser cutting, large format printing and a photography studio.
You will support Architecture and Interior Design students to achieve design outcomes using digital and traditional design methods. There will also be exciting opportunities to work with students across all our creative disciplines to help them realise their creative potential by developing their digital and practical skills.
We are looking for a talented and technical minded individual who can create and deliver equipment and software sessions to groups and individuals and bring our students to a level of competency and understanding that enables them to work effectively and independently.
You will cover a range of architectural design apps with a focus on, ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Sketchup and Enscape along with model making in traditional and digital production workflows.
We are also interested in hearing from applicants who have experience with additional CAD and rendering software such as Rhino, Blender, 3D printing and laser cutting software.
