Technical Writer

Mississauga, ON

Manufacturing Environment

We are looking for an individual who has the ability to grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understood in text and pictures - if this is you and you have the following technical skills and abilities, please submit your resume for this great opportunity!

• Produce high-quality technical documentation
• Prepare installation, parts, and set-up manuals
• Verify the parts number corresponds with the engineering drawings;
• Responsible for maintaining a well-organized and up-to-date Technical Publication Library
• Maintains revisions and distribution of the Company’s technical manuals
• Support Company departments with technical data as required;
• Receives all technical documents and publications from outside sources

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Post-Secondary education in Design and Communications, or equivalent experience preferred;
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in preparing installation and set-up manuals;
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Adobe Professional, Solid Edge, Illustrator, and Apple systems;
• Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product;
• Exposure to or have worked in an environment where Lean/Six Sigma principles were practiced.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Salary: $17.68-$27.00 per hour
