Reporting to the Senior Manager, PMO, the Technical Writer’s primary mandate is to create, update and maintain NRT’s product documentation. Documentation required includes User Guides, Admin Guides, Release Notes, Online Help, Knowledge Base etc.
Job Duties Summary
- Working as part of multiple project teams in the PMO to research, create and release new documentation for internal and external customers for software and hardware products. These may include but are not limited to:

3. Online help for web-based products
4. Release Notes
- Maintain and update existing hardware and software documentation
- Assist with the development of training materials for NRT products
- Generate and publish documentation for online help
- Other documentation duties as assigned
- Demonstrated track record as a Technical Writer with 2+ years technical writing experience or equivalent technical writing education
- University Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Technology or related fields
- Specific courses in technical writing
- Technical background and experience (IT/hardware/software Development and/or financial processes)
- Flawless English written communication
- Ability to learn technical products and explain in an easy-to-use manner
- Capable of working well as a part a project team in a PMO alongside Developers, QA Analysts, Engineers, Sales and Marketing Teams
- Knowledge of online usability
- Writing for a particular audience
- Strong technical, planning, and design skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- HTML, CSS, web editors
- Strong experience with Adobe suite of products ( InDesign, Adobe Professional ) and Microsoft Suite (professional level Word skills)
- Use and develop templates for consistent presentation
