Fawkes and Reece are recruiting for a Bid Writer to work remote for a main contractor. They write tenders for some of the UK's most prestigious infrastructure projects. Recent projects have included major highway re-developments, crossrail tunnelling and major station upgrades for private clients such as Network Rail.
In this role you will be working with the pre-construction team whilst reporting to the Preconstruction Director on a prequalification for a bid. Some of the duties that you would be involved in will include:
- Evaluating the strategy and resources to focus on activities which will enhance chance of bid success
- Agreeing bid budget and monitoring expenditure
- Producing actions and appointing individuals to complete relevant items arising from the meetings
- Keeping senior management informed of development on tender and gain acceptance of key decision points
- Communication management and interface with joint venture partners and key supply chain
The ideal candidate will:
Have tendered on rail or water projects
Experience tendering on projects or framework worth over £100m
Have technical understanding of the construction process
Must have the right to live and work in the UK
