We have an excellent opportunity for a Technical Support Officer, temporary fixed term for 6 months to cover maternity leave. This post will be based at Burnley Depot BB10 2TJ within the Highways Team.
Lancashire Highways Service is responsible for the direct delivery of all highway related schemes across the County made up of 4'300 miles of road, 151'000 street lights and 2'955 bridges.
The post holder will be required to manage enquiries from members of the public and elected members providing technical responses as required, assist the team in managing and prioritising workloads, monitor revenue budgets, be familiar with standard office and GIS software, assist with day to day duties in office, order and check works on site in several districts, carry out site inspections, updating inventories, assisting engineers and other duties which are deemed appropriate to the post.
