About The Role
An exciting opportunity has come up for Technical Support Engineers to join our Installations business based in Leeds
Location: Leeds office with some opportunity for home working
The Technical Department provides on demand specialist knowledge to aid and support new boiler sales surveys and installations. As experts in their field they utilise their skill set and the latest technology to provide virtual on-site expertise in the identification of current heating systems components, as well as specifications and recommendations for new installations.
Retrospective pre-installation reviews of surveys, videos and images allows the Technical department to ensure proposed installations are planned safely and in line with current legal and regulatory standards.
Provide real-time support to office and field-based Surveyors and Engineers.
Utilise Telephone, Video and Imaging technology deliver virtual on-site technical support.
Provide practical alternative solutions where installation challenges are encountered.
Identifies and assists in the management of hazards
Complies with contractual procedures, statutory regulations and internal processes
Maintains personal productivity in line with the business requirements
Recognises business opportunities for the company and refers to the appropriate person internally
Conducts own behaviour appropriately to safeguard the company reputation
Works with, supports and assists in the development of Technical Support Specialists.
Process and database administration to ensure accurate fulfilment of the Sales and Installations processes.
Actively supports the development of technical knowledge amongst Surveyors and Installation Engineers.
Identifies where 3rd party assistance is required for access or safe removal of hazardous waste
Other work which may be required from time to time as directly by Management.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:
Essential:
Understand department procedures and guidelines
Ability to interpret complex information
Good problem-solving skills
PC literate
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous installation experience min 5 years since qualified
Gas Safe registered
Understanding of Y and S plan systems
Ability and understanding of converting to fully pumped
Professional attitude when dealing with customers and colleagues
