You could move from your current job into a small and well-established IT Managed Services Provider, where you will be able to learn plenty whilst helping lots of companies with their technical support.
The key to your success is your ability to roll up your sleeves and find a solution while ensuring excellent customer service.
Your ability to discuss technical problems with non-IT end users will be crucial to your success in this role.
The key skills, experience and personality we’re looking for are as follows:
- You will be on the phone a lot; you don’t shy away from chatting with non-technical people.
- Strong IT support experience across a diverse technical environment – 18 months minimum experience.
- We expect intelligence, energy, and a get-it-done attitude.
- Be able to work effectively when under pressure.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment.
- Windows servers, as well as PCs, are within your experience too.
- You love learning, tinkering and finding out the right solution for each customer.
- You need to be happy to be part of a small team where everyone mucks in and gets to influence the way we work.
- Proven troubleshooting ability across the network, including LAN components, internet connection and common IT peripherals.
- Networking skills, including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP and common network-related issues.
- Microsoft 365 administration.
- An interest in Cyber is also nice to have!
This is a tremendous opportunity for you if you simply love providing IT support but feel the need to have a little more flexibility, work with an expanding Managed Services company and be able to learn.
You could progress to Project Engineer, Support Desk Manager or Account Manager. Pronetic IT may be small now (and perfectly formed), but there are plenty of options for developing your career with us and being a key part of our successful growth.
Job Title: IT Support Technician / Engineer
Location: Chichester, West Sussex, plus 1-2 days with customers within a 30-mile radius
Salary: £24,000 -£28,000
