General Job Description
The function of the Inhouse support Engineer is to respond to customer issues associated with our equipment including other makes equipment that are registered on contract. These can be hardware or software related issues.
Main tasks would be:
- Support for software and hardware incidents at customer’s premises
- Remote access support into customer premises, where necessary and appropriate (LogMeInRescue)
- Remote installations of equipment solutions
- Support for other Field Engineers
- Support for Regional Sales Managers
- Administration of Support / Repair CRM cases & Quotes
- Administration of Calibration CRM cases & Quotes
- Assist Sales Support as required
- Shipping parts / equipment to customers & engineers
Job Requirements
- Good technical background.
- Ability to diagnose the cause of problems in a complex environment and to provide effective solutions quickly
- Good general IT knowledge and knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
- Knowledge and experience of hardware configuration
- Good knowledge of user account administration, (Active Directory)
- Knowledge of networking infrastructures
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in an end user based environment
- Self motivated and ability to work on own initiative in a pressure environment
