A leading global developer of Optics and Photonics products now requires an additional Technical Support Engineer to join their team in Cambridgeshire.
Working closely with the local Engineering and global Technical Support teams you will provide front-line support, via phone and email, to UK customers in Academic, Government and Commercial sectors.
Working with your customers you will gain an understanding of their application and help identify solutions required.
Through conversations with customers, you will identify new product opportunities and assist with the development of new products by providing feedback on concepts from a customer’s perspective as well as testing and reporting performance and non-conformance.
In addition, you will assist with building product demos for tradeshows and replication of customer set ups for troubleshooting and training.
There may be occasional opportunities to attend tradeshows and participate in customer visits.
Qualifications:
As the successful Technical Support Engineer, you will be qualified to a minimum of a Masters Degree in a Physics, Life Science, or Photonics Discipline.
Experience:
You should have previous commercial experience working with optical fiber, optics, electronics and / or lasers.
Ideally you will have worked in a similar Technical Support role within a Physics or Life Science discipline.
Additional Information:
Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Passport and Visa will be requested for verification.
