Data Energy Management Services is a well-established organisation providing account management support to Property Managing Agents. This covers everything from finding lost meters to resident-level heat network (district heating) billing. Incorporating eco-friendly technologies such as Air Source Heat Pumps and Combined Heat & Power (CHP) generation.
The role is to manage the day-to-day technical expectations of the company, which would include troubleshooting and problem-solving. Collecting on-site level metering data and ingesting this to our bespoke platforms. M-bus and Modbus. This role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment, numeracy/literacy skills, customer service, and communication skills.
New Business
- Prospect for potential new clients that meet the set criteria and turn this into increased business.
- Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
- Identify potential clients and the decision-makers within the client organization.
- Research and build relationships with new clients.
- Participate in pricing the solution/service.
Business Development Planning
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
- Present to and consult with mid and senior-level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Actively monitor the market place looking for new opportunities and products that may benefit the company.
Technical
- Attending site to review and discuss, where appropriate, arrangements that are in place for gas, electricity, cooling & heat (and any other metering) metering.
- Develop and maintain high levels of customer service by providing an effective and responsive approach to meet clients’ expectations/needs.
- Efficient planning of extensive UK travel arrangements to undertake surveys and site visits.
- Ability to understand the full cycle of the service proposition and effectively communicate the innovative benefits to enhance its perception to the client and end user.
- Active involvement in the commissioning and maintenance of district and community heating schemes including the energy centre distribution.
- Familiarity with different types of metering equipment, identification and supply points, remote meter reading, and associated internet technology.
- Liaison with utility companies, managing agents, client representatives and developers.
- Onsite involvement with metering query resolutions, interrogation of BMS controls, tracing and identifying lost supplies.
- Handover documentation from developer to managing agent.
- Identification, coordination and project management of Energy Centre maintenance, solar maintenance, heat metering, and electricity sub-metering projects.
- Liaison, where appropriate, with sub-contractors, to maintain service-level agreements with managing agents/clients.
- Provide technical and energy advice to managing agents and developers.
- Formulate, coordinate and implement strategies to monitor energy metering and consumption.

- Previous Technical Product knowledge - Wired M-bus / Wireless M-bus, LoRaWAN, Modbus, Pulse, 4G/5G networks, OCCP – EV charging, PAYG Guru / Secure / Switch2, Trend /SIPP / BMS
- Previous HVAC experience
- Electrically qualified would be an advantage
- Previous experience working for service provider in customer facing role.
- Full driving licence is essential
