Job description
We have a Technical Sales Engineer position with a leading global OEM in the commercial vehicle industry.
You will provide technical and sales support for the full market-leading product range in all market sectors, OEM, Aftermarket and fleets.
Developing and maintaining fleet business through product training, troubleshooting, and face-to-face meetings is a vital part of the role. You will have the gravitas to persuade fleet managers that the company's product offering will add value to their business.
You will be sharing responsibility for offering technical support through the technical hotline two days a week from the Newton Aycliffe head office.
Confident communication will come naturally to you as you will be conducting training courses at both the head office and the customer's premises.
You will be working closely with the approved distribution network to support spare parts supply to the fleets and workshop network.
In return, the company will offer you:
- Basic salary of £35,000 - £38,000
- Up to 10% bonus

It is envisaged that you will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a minimum of 5 years of experience in repairing and maintaining commercial vehicles or trailers.
Ideally, you will be located in the North East, as you will be required to be in the office two days a week; however, if you live further afield, the company will provide expenses to cover overnight stays.
You will be comfortable travelling as you will visit customers/fleets two days a week and be home-based one day.
