Technical Business Development Consultant - Electrical/Mechanical - Basic salary £75k (negotiable) plus car allowance/commission/company bonus scheme and benefits
This well established building services company have opened an additional office in London which has created a new opening for a Technical Sales Consultant. You will work with existing clients but with the help of an excellent marketing team, you will also be provided with leads to build new business.
It is essential that you will already work in the industry and have an expert understanding of the sector – mechanical/electrical.
Mechanical and electrical contractors often face installation challenges and will require a supplier with technical expertise to help provide the necessary solutions. This company offer in-house design, engineering and fabrication services to support contractors.

Job role:
You will be responsible for delivering new business from both predominantly principal contractors (influencers) and main sub-contractors (customers). This will be a mix of the existing customer base and new business.
- Identify new business opportunities
- Working with marketing to quantify leads.
- Research key decision makers within existing and new customers
- Help develop and underpin existing business
- Forging strong customer relationships while resolving customer compliance issues
- Develop a strong relationship with principal tier 1 contractors
- Protect existing customer accounts from competition by developing strong relations and promoting the company's key strategy. ·
Who/what are we looking for?
- You will have a proven track record in sales in Building Services or Mechanical & Electrical industry
- Experience in solution sales and a consultative sales approach
- Ideally London located or ability to commute into London
- A great work ethic, a passion for customer service and a great team player
