Technical Sales Representative – Food Ingredients
£40,000 to £60,000 Salary, pension, laptop, mobile phone, car
Kent and South East England
This is a home based role, with occasional visit to London office. Hours are usual business hours, the candidate my need to work away from home at certain times due to business requirements, and be happy to travel overseas for the business should the need arise.
Reporting directly to the Food Ingredients Business Manager.
Function: to Develop new sales for the business within the ready prepared food sector within both the manufacturing and foodservice sectors. It would be hoped that the candidate will have a strong up to date network of business contacts in these areas.
Attending customer trials, make regular customer and prospect visits. Assist credit control in making sure customer pay invoices in a timely manner. Assist internal customer service team to make sure customers have a good experience trading with Charles Tennant.
Develop a sales development plan and strategy that can be shared and monitored with the business manager
The role involves a level of technical ability and an understanding of existing Food Legislation. Product training will be available were needed.
Written visit reports will need to be files.
Reporting, attending bi monthly sales meeting.
Quarterly sales development meetings with the business manager.
Candidate profile.
A good level of further education, numerate, strong communication skills, IT literate.
Ambitious, looking for career progression ,self-starter ,analytical solution finder.
Experienced account manager/business development manager with a proven track record.
Good understanding of food ingredients and the food manufacturing sector.
