IT Project Manager
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated IT Project Manager with a strong technical background and coding experience to join our dynamic and ambitious RiskPoint Group team. You either have a tech background and the willingness to learn about insurance or an insurance background with a distinct flair and interest in IT. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that RiskPoint Group continues its growth journey.
So, if you thrive on leading cross-functional teams to deliver successful IT projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, then this is an exciting opportunity for you!
Who are we?
You will become part of our growing business development team, working closely with IT, underwriting, claims, and other stakeholders located in Denmark and abroad.
We are an agile organization with close cross-border co-operation. And although we have different focus areas and skills, we always assist each other and also have regular operational and status meetings.
Our organization is flat, leaving many opportunities for all employees to make a difference, take responsibility, excel, and grow.
RiskPoint Group is more than just a working place. We prioritize social events, and despite being a company of approximately 200 employees, we consider ourselves to be a family.
About the position
As our IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of our insurance underwriting and distribution tool worldwide while actively participating in coding tasks involving JSON (JavaScript Object Notation). To secure a successful outcome, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and insurance stakeholders. Your technical skills and coding expertise (incl. JSON) will be instrumental in driving project success as well as future business development on the platform.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Coordinate and allocate resources as well as ensuring the right skill sets are assigned to each project task
- Provide hands-on coding expertise in JSON, working alongside developers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders and senior management
- Conduct regular meetings and ensure effective communication among team members
- Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes to resolve project issues and conflicts
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance activities to ensure project deliverables meet requirements
- Prepare and present comprehensive project reports and documentation
The majority of the RiskPoint Group resources (incl. IT) are based in Copenhagen, but for the right candidate location is secondary. You can be located in any European country where we have an established office for you to join. However, you need to possess both a local working and residency permit in that country.
A great match for us
As you will be dealing with lots of different people and nationalities in this role, you need exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management . You have a strong technical background with hands-on experience in JSON coding since this is our chosen text-based format, but proficiency in other programming languages and technologies is only a plus.
Wish list of qualifications and experience:
- Proven experience as IT Project Manager, successfully delivering complex IT project, or experience as insurance professional with a background in driving product development and strong IT skills
- Excellent understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
- Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
We work cross-border, so language skills are vital. Speaking and writing high level English is a must, and understanding the local language of your location is an advantage to actively enter into the daily activities at the office.
