Job description

What will I be doing?

As our Technical Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in our close-knit and growing development team. This team consists of developers, product owners, delivery managers and test analysts. You'll have the exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects, including our e-commerce platform, in-house core booking system, field maintenance system, customer portals and future digital channel developments.

As part of your everyday role,
you’re likely to be involved in the following:

  • Developing your expert knowledge of our customer/user/business behaviour and digital products.
  • Collaborating with technical teams, commercial teams, and stakeholders to develop and agree on a product vision and roadmap, exceeding the company’s strategic outcomes whenever possible.
  • Validating the product vision using the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) approach, crafting a roadmap that accelerates value creation for the business.
  • Creating a backlog and facilitating prioritization to ensure iterative value delivery, steering clear of sporadic 'big bang' releases.
  • Excelling in communication and relationship management, fostering strong connections.
  • Defining work requirements, refining the backlog to align with business goals and priorities, and consistently updating progress against the roadmap and backlog.
  • Championing the products across the organisation, driving successful adoption and collaborating with colleagues to identify and share best practices.
  • Identifying capability gaps, collaborating with stakeholders to overcome challenges and presenting recommendations to maximize product value.
  • Collaborating with commercial stakeholders to define and monitor metrics for business performance/customer success, striving for continuous value enhancements across established KPIs.
  • Implementing and tracking product metrics to identify and measure improvements, driving backlog prioritisation.
  • Working alongside the Compliance team and external providers to ensure solutions adhere to relevant data and consumer protection laws, such as GDPR and PCI.
  • Maintaining productive relationships with colleagues and helping to foster a Product Mindset throughout the organisation.
