Job description

Job Introduction

Accountabilities:

  • Receive incoming samples and supplies in relation to the blinding verification role in accordance with Business Practice, and ensure that the samples are correctly logged, labelled, and placed in appropriate storage conditions (refrigerators, or ambient storage as required)
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheet in SharePoint for samples received and pending receipt. Populate with sample ID, lot, product description, supply chain contact, storage condition, date received, project code, cost centre, sample source, etc.
  • Monitor Daily CSL (Clinical Supply Logistics) report from EVIM (External Vendor Inventory Management) to monitor delivery of samples.
  • Monitor Blinding Verification mailbox in MS Outlook
  • Check Safety Data for all products received
  • Carry out photography of blinding verification samples in accordance with appropriate test method. Create detailed, accurate and reproducible images of samples using photography software
  • Upload completed images/reports to GDMS (Global Document Management System) for approval and archive.
  • In accordance with Business Practice perform monthly checks and record colour balance of cameras using ‘Datacolor Checkr’ and calibrate nominated computer monitors using ‘Datacolor Spyder’ device
  • Once approved, arrange for safe disposal of all blinding verification samples in accordance with local procedures
  • Liaise with Pfizer Digital to ensure appropriate software/data updates are maintained
  • Provide photography skills within Pfizer laboratories and facilities to safely capture images of scientific experiments, samples and equipment as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience with and knowledge of photographic equipment used for product photography.
  • Experience with photography software packages such as Photoshop, Elements.
  • Technically confident and possess good knowledge of organising photographic work/studio and lighting.
  • Experience of working within a regulated environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Health and Safety Awareness, to include Working safely in the lab, COSHH, Risk Assessments and MSDSs is desirable.
  • Good IT skills to include all Microsoft packages
  • Decision making ability essential
  • Good communication skills, with ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation
