Why Join Hereford?
Embedding HEINEKEN Herefordshire as the Global Home of Cider is a challenge we all embrace. Our historic Herefordshire heartland is home to the world’s largest Cider production site, our cider mill at Ledbury, and more than 10,000 acres of orchards. We also partner with local growers as we use 30% of all apples grown in the UK to make our celebrated cider brands. From Strongbow and Bulmers to Old Mout, a spirit of innovation inspires our craft - and with a string of new styles and flavours to enjoy including our new summer favourite Strongbow Rosé, our future is one you’ll want to be part of.

Reporting into the Shift Manager and working within a team you will be responsible for running high-speed packaging machinery efficiently and effectively.

What are we looking for?
We have an opportunity for a technical operator with a lean mind set and positive attitude. We need motivated self-starters who will be proactive in taking ownership of their area. Safety will be your number one priority – you will actively contribute to our Zero Accident Culture through leading by example and deliver high standards of cleanliness and reliability on our production plant. With an attention to detail, delivering FTR (First Time Right) on quality and process, you will be a champion of our C.I.L.T’s (cleaning, inspection, lubrication and tightening) tasks.

You will work alongside very capable team members who will help you out initially, along with your shift manager, - and once you’re settled you will be expected to help drive continuous improvement within your area through our Total Productive Management programme (TPM), this is similar to LEAN theories.

With solid qualifications in Maths & English and a good understanding of IT systems, you will be comfortable working in an automated manufacturing environment with a desire to continue your learning.

Life at HEINEKEN

We’re building a future that embraces innovation, sustainability, diversity and, of course, the opportunity for our 2,400 UK colleagues to make the most of their careers.

We encourage all our colleagues to grow and reach their full potential. We’re also well-aware that successful careers seldom run in a straight line, so if you’re in search of fresh opportunities (including global or cross-functional moves), mentoring or simply want to pick up a new skill, you’ll have access to all the support you need.

Caring for people & the planet is one of our core values and we understand that each of our colleagues’ needs and circumstances are different. This is why we have a smarter working policy in place which includes access to hybrid working, flexible start and finish times and condensed hours, to name a few.

Our colleagues love life at HEINEKEN, and we’re confident you’ll feel the same way – but don’t take our word for it. Search the #LifeAtHEINEKENUK hashtag on LinkedIn to hear from our colleagues about what makes HEINEKEN such a special business to be a part of.
