We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Highway Maintenance & Drainage Team to help assist in the delivery of our Highway Asset Improvement Programme of works.


The role is predominantly office based, but you will be able to work both remotely and in our newly refurbished, modern office spaces at our operational depot in Clutton or the Civic Centre in Keynsham.


Working as part of our friendly and busy team, you will:


  • Assist in the compilation and delivery of annual programmes of improvements works to highway assets.
  • Manage work instruction and works claims for the completion of individual projects.
  • Work closely with colleagues and their supply chain of our Highway Term Service Contractor to ensure high quality works delivered in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with members of the public, Ward Members, Parish/Town Councils and Residents Associations to promote works and deal with any resulting project enquiries.

We’re looking for someone with great interpersonal and organisational skills, that has experience working in a highway’s environment. However, if you have other experience, you think will make you the ideal candidate, please still apply.


Your main place of work will be the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible via car or public transport, with a train station 5 minutes’ walk away.
