Job Description


We are building/adapting scalable, high-quality RESTful microservices using Python and Django for a government client. Modern, accessible frontend applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with templating tools like Moustache.

You will be engaging in solution design with Business and Technical representatives, bringing your thoughts on new techniques and alternative approaches to the team for the development of public and private APIs, web application backends, and data acquisition from web sources using the Python language.

This role will be working with Government clients so candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance


Qualifications


What we are looking for:

  • Technical leadership of a team to build/test modern, scalable, secure & performant solutions in line with good industry software engineering practices (code quality, CI/CD, security, TDD, BDD etc).
  • Manage, coach and develop members of your team and the wider community
  • Designing, developing, testing and maintaining cloud/microservices-based python flask software applications/API’s.
  • Strong experience supporting product owners and driving product decision, refining the product with stakeholders and helping/writing user stories to drive towards outcomes.
  • Experience in technical ownership for a product or software solution, covering design, estimation, shaping and user story/requirement creation
  • Collaborate and liaise with other Version 1 and customer stakeholders/ end users in the software development lifecycle – PMs, BAs, Testing, Product etc
  • Able to simply and clearly communicate technical designs in conversation, documentation and presentations to stakeholders of various technical abilities.
  • Fostering a positive working environment and facilitating team collaboration and communication.
  • Experienced in working with embedded customers in the team and managing challenging senior technical stakeholders to ensure a focus on delivering
  • Experienced in working closely with a design team to ensure good quality design is driving your delivery. Including taking part in design crits etc.
  • Experience of agile testing/QA strategies and automation including Building unit, integration, API and e2e tests.
  • Demonstrable understanding of applying appropriate security controls within a complex digital transformation.
