Build the future of data. Join the Snowflake team. We are looking for a highly technical, customer-facing individual who is comfortable in a fast paced and competitive environment. In this role you will work directly with sales, marketing, product and engineering to sharpen Snowflake's competitive Go-To-Market strategy and successful execution against key competitors, specifically managed Spark providers. This includes evangelizing the Snowflake Data Cloud, building sponsorship in both the technical and business customer base, advising on and executing key evaluations, and facilitating successful migrations/implementations. Furthermore, the “Technical GTM Specialist” is responsible for amplifying their learnings and making the people around them the best they can be. They are equally comfortable in both a business and technical context, interacting with executives, talking shop with technical audiences, and collaboratively working with a variety of Snowflake teams. This is a highly dynamic role and we are looking for the right individual to thrive in an evolving environment, and have the flexibility and willingness to jump in and get things done. In this role you will get to work in three main areas: * Customer-facing: Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers Help evolve Snowflake's GTM strategy to increase effectiveness and shorten sales cycles. Iterative changes are largely based on feedback from customers and the Snowflake sales team. Work hands-on with prospects, customers and the Snowflake sales teams to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation/go-live Field Enablement Collaborate with Sales, Product Marketing, Enablement, and others to create usable assets to help scale our GTM strategy Train the Account Executives and Sales Engineers to conduct meaningful conversations and sales cycles regarding key competitors Continually work to refine and optimize our Sales Cycle for efficiency Product and Engineering Feedback Through real, data-driven experiences provide feedback to product and engineering teams where the Snowflake product is strong/weak against key competitors Work with product and engineering to provide awareness on high-priority evaluations or customers with competitive presence On day one, we will expect you to have: 10-15+ years of industry experience with a focus on sales, sales engineering and enablement Deep expertise in cloud based products and cloud based architectures. Snowflake experience is a major plus Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences Broad range of experience within large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, Spark, analytics and cloud technologies Hands-on expertise with SQL and SQL analytics Ability to connect a customer's specific business problems and Snowflake's solutions University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred Our Sales Engineers are customer obsessed and we believe in the value we can add and stay honest about it.
